UNIVERSAL CYLINDER ZS 77 WITH THREE BOLTS

​The BURG-WÄCHTER universal cylinder ZS 77 is made of high-strength and additionally nickel-plated die-cast zinc. The cylinder can be used in many areas thanks to three different bolts. For example, for doors of all kinds or applications in industry.Opening and closing the disc cylinder is particularly easy with the help of one of the two reversible keys supplied. The bolt can be adjusted at a 90-degree angle. 

THE SUITABLE CYLINDER FOR 1-10 MM MATERIAL THICKNESS

The universal cylinder ZS 77 is designed for a material thickness of 1-10 mm and can therefore be used extremely flexibly. When mounting, fix the cylinder securely with a fixing nut. During installation, make sure that the key remains in the lock until after installation is complete.Optionally, the ZS 77 cylinder is also available in a keyed alike version.

It is very important to maintain your lock properly, especially if it is exposed to the elements of nature a lot. Dirt and corrosion can build up, especially during cold and inclement weather. Therefore, we recommend lubricating your door lock at least twice a year or ideally at every seasonal change. 
To make sure your lock runs smoothly again, we recommend using lubricants such asWD-40 WHITE LITHIUM SPRAY GREASE. The correct use of these oils is essential.

​In general, there are two solutions for lock maintenance: prevention/protection and troubleshooting. 

If a lock is difficult to open, it could be due to two reasons: 
​
​1. The key and lock are not yet properly matched, this is common with a new lock

​​2. There is dirt build-up or rust in the lock

In these cases, we recommend using WD-40 WHITE LITHIUM SPRAY GREASE to solve the problem. This will prevent rust from forming in the lock. However, it is important that you apply the oil in the right place in the lock so that the WD-40 gets to the moving parts to ensure proper lubrication.
