BESA Replacement lock for multi-point lock

If your multipoint lock is no longer available, the BESA Deputy replacement lock offers the ideal solution. This high-quality replacement lock is specially designed to replace the main lock of your multi-point lock, maintaining the security of your door.

The lock is available in centres of 72 and 92 mm and backset sizes of 50, 55 and 65 mm. The sturdy, galvanised straight faceplate has a length of 380 mm and a width of 16 mm, adding to its durability and ease of use. Moreover, the lock is reversible, making it suitable for both left- and right-handed doors.

With the BESA Deputy replacement lock, you ensure that your door continues to function safely and reliably even when your original multi-point lock is no longer available.

It is very important to maintain your lock properly, especially if it is exposed to the elements of nature a lot. Dirt and corrosion can build up, especially during cold and inclement weather. Therefore, we recommend lubricating your door lock at least twice a year or ideally at every seasonal change. 

To make sure your lock runs smoothly again, we recommend using lubricants such as WD-40 WHITE LITHIUM SPRAY GREASE. The correct use of these oils is essential.

In general, there are two solutions for lock maintenance: prevention/protection and troubleshooting. 

If a lock is difficult to open, it could be due to two reasons: 

​ ​ ​ ​1. The key and lock are not yet properly matched, this is common with a new lock

​ ​ ​ ​2. There is dirt build-up or rust in the lock

In these cases, we recommend using WD-40 WHITE LITHIUM SPRAY GREASE to solve the problem. This will prevent rust from forming in the lock. However, it is important to apply the oil in the right place in the lock so that the WD-40 reaches the moving parts to ensure proper lubrication. For multi-point locks, it is very important to also do this at the upper and lower locking points to prevent rust and dirt build-up here too.
