AMF 141U/143U Gate Lock

Discover the AMF 141U/143U gate lock, specifically designed for swing gates, offering you the flexibility to purchase just the lock or in combination with a welding box. The front plate of the lock is made from durable galvanized steel and is available in two widths: 24 mm and 33 mm, catering to your specific installation needs.

The latch has a projection of 2 mm and the deadbolt a projection of 3 mm, ensuring reliable locking. This versatile lock is suitable for both left and right-handed doors, and is prepared for use with a profile cylinder (PC) or can be equipped with a bit key insert, depending on your security preferences. With a spindle size of 72 mm, a backset of 40 mm, and a single-turn mechanism, this lock combines functionality with security.

When choosing the model with a welding box, a handle rosette no. 494 is also included, which facilitates installation and enhances the finished appearance. This lock meets the DIN EN 12209: 2X500F2EA20 classification, indicating it conforms to high safety and quality standards. It is of great importance to properly maintain your lock, especially if it is frequently exposed to the elements. Dirt and corrosion can accumulate, particularly during cold and harsh weather. Therefore, we recommend lubricating your door lock at least twice a year or ideally at every change of season.

To ensure that your lock operates smoothly again, we recommend the use of lubricants such as WD-40 SPECIALIST® WHITE LITHIUM SPRAY GREASE. The correct use of these oils is essentiall.

Generally, there are two solutions for lock maintenance: prevention/protection and problem-solving.

If a lock is difficult to open, it can be due to two reasons:

​ ​ ​1. The key and the lock have not yet properly adjusted to each other, which often occurs with a new lock

​ ​ ​2. There is a build-up of dirt or rust formation in the lock


In these cases, we recommend using WD-40 SPECIALIST® WHITE LITHIUM SPRAY GREASE to solve the problem. This prevents rust formation in the lock. However, it is important that you apply the oil in the right place in the lock so that the WD-40 reaches the moving parts to ensure good lubrication.
