AMF 140P/142P Anti-Panic Gate Lock

The AMF 140P/142P anti-panic gate lock is an advanced security solution, designed for gates where quick access is critical. This lock combines functionality with aesthetics, thanks to a polished stainless steel faceplate on a galvanized body, making it both durable and visually appealing.

This model features a fixed spring bolt that cannot be turned, providing extra security against unauthorized access. Prepared for a profile cylinder (PZ), the lock includes a deadbolt function with a backset of 60 mm and a two-turn mechanism. The spindle measures 9 mm and the center-to-center distance is 72 mm, making the lock suitable for a wide range of gate configurations. It is available with or without a welding box, depending on specific mounting requirements. With welding case incl. handle rosette No. 494.

Equipped with anti-panic function E, the lock ensures that the gate can only be opened from the outside with a key, while the anti-panic function is always accessible from the inside when the gate is closed. This makes it an ideal choice for security-critical accesses such as emergency exits and service entrances, where the fixed knob on the outside of the gate provides additional security. The AMF 140P/142P anti-panic gate lock is perfect for locations requiring both high security and the ability to evacuate quickly.

It is of great importance to properly maintain your lock, especially if it is frequently exposed to the elements. Dirt and corrosion can accumulate, particularly during cold and harsh weather. Therefore, we recommend lubricating your door lock at least twice a year or ideally at every change of season. 

To ensure that your lock operates smoothly again, we recommend the use of lubricants such as WD-40 SPECIALIST® WHITE LITHIUM SPRAY GREASE. The correct use of these oils is essentiall.

Generally, there are two solutions for lock maintenance: prevention/protection and problem-solving. 

If a lock is difficult to open, it can be due to two reasons: 

​ ​ ​1. The key and the lock have not yet properly adjusted to each other, which often occurs with a new lock

​ ​ ​2. There is a build-up of dirt or rust formation in the lock


In these cases, we recommend using WD-40 SPECIALIST® WHITE LITHIUM SPRAY GREASE to solve the problem. This prevents rust formation in the lock. However, it is important that you apply the oil in the right place in the lock so that the WD-40 reaches the moving parts to ensure good lubrication.  

Het is van groot belang om je slot goed te onderhouden, vooral als het veel wordt blootgesteld aan de natuurelementen. Vuil en corrosie kunnen zich ophopen, vooral tijdens koud en guur weer. Over het algemeen zijn er twee oplossingen voor slotonderhoud: preventie/bescherming en probleemoplossing. 

Als een slot moeilijk opengaat, kan dit te wijten zijn aan twee redenen: 

​ ​ ​1. De sleutel en het slot zijn nog niet goed op elkaar afgestemd, dit komt vaak voor bij een nieuw slot

​ ​ ​2. Er is vuilophoping of roestvorming in het slot

In these cases, we recommend using WD-40 WIT LITHIUM SPUITVET te gebruiken om het probleem op te lossen. Dit voorkomt dat er roestvorming in het slot ontstaat. Het is echter belangrijk dat je de olie op de juiste plek in het slot aanbrengt zodat de WD-40 tot bij de bewegende delen geraakt om een goede smering te garanderen.
